Activities inside (zipline, horseback riding, cottage rental) are charged separately on top of the entrance fee.
Opening Hours
Picnic Grove is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including weekends and holidays. The early morning hours — 6:00 to 9:00 AM — are the best time to visit. The fog is often still drifting across the ridge, the air is at its coldest, the Taal view is clearest, and the crowds have not yet arrived.

Zipline
The Picnic Grove zipline runs along the ridge edge and gives you an aerial view of Taal Lake during the ride. Prices:
- Two-way ride: ₱300 on weekdays, ₱400 on weekends
- One-way ride: ₱200 on weekdays, ₱300 on weekends
The two-way ride is the better value — you get the full experience of flying out over the ridge and back. A free souvenir photo is often included.
Horseback Riding
Picnic Grove has a horseback riding circuit where handlers guide you and the horse along a designated trail. No prior riding experience is needed — the handler walks alongside the entire time. Cost is approximately ₱150–200 per ride, making it one of the most affordable activities in Tagaytay for children.
Kite Flying
The open green space in the Picnic Town zone is ideal for kite flying. Tagaytay's ridge winds are consistent and strong enough to keep a kite up easily. You can bring your own or buy one from the souvenir vendors inside the park. This is a simple, free activity that kids especially love.
Eco Trail and Viewing Decks

How to Get to Picnic Grove Tagaytay
By public transport: From Manila, take a bus bound for Tagaytay or Nasugbu from PITX or Pasay (₱100–120 fare). Get off at Olivarez New Terminal. From there, take a jeepney bound for People's Park in the Sky and tell the driver you are going to Picnic Grove (₱25–30), or take a tricycle for around ₱100 for up to three passengers.
By car: Drive via Aguinaldo Highway or the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road. Picnic Grove is on Tagaytay-Calamba Road in Barangay Sungay East. Parking is available on-site.
How Long to Spend at Picnic Grove
A typical visit lasts 2 to 3 hours. That gives you time for the zipline queue and ride, a horseback ride, a walk along the eco trail for photos, and a picnic break. If you are only stopping for the Taal view and a quick walk, 45 to 60 minutes is enough.
If you are combining Picnic Grove with Sky Ranch in the same day, do Sky Ranch first (it gets more crowded later), then move to Picnic Grove for a relaxed picnic lunch and the zipline.
